The reality is that there are a lot of people calling themselves coaches and what they offer differs greatly. Scarily, anyone can call themselves a coach, even if they’ve never trained as one. I’m qualified and accredited with extensive experience of supporting people to make meaningful, sustainable change. My work is trauma-informed and integrates a wide range of evidence-based approaches that work with you as a whole person, not just a set of goals.

What I believe about coaching
At its heart, coaching is a focused form of conversation in which I, as your coach, help you to move forward, make the changes you desire and live in a way that feels more authentic and fulfilling to you.
To do that effectively, we'll look at where you are now, figure out where you’d like to be and create strategies that enable you to get there in a way that’s right for you.
I believe we all have a wealth of wisdom, creativity and resourcefulness inside us but past experiences plus the busy-ness and complexity of life can bury this under layers of “survival settings” – ways of thinking, reacting and behaving that were helpful at the time, but are now a default setting that might not be working well for us.
My job isn’t, therefore, to tell you what to do but rather to help you peel back those layers so that you can find solutions and ways forward that have felt hidden to you before. I help you develop greater self-awareness, cultivate powerful mindset shifts, make more conscious choices and empower you to start navigating life differently. My work is focused on helping you create the life-giving changes you’re seeking in a way that works for you and that lasts.
How I work
I believe that to be most effective, coaching needs to work with you as a whole person, rather than just a set of goals:
Mind
Our thoughts, beliefs and assumptions shape the choices we make. Together we’ll tease out the mindsets that hold you back, uncover subconscious patterns and I’ll support you in cultivating powerful mental shifts that move you forward. I’ll help you think about how you’re thinking, strengthen the mindsets that are helpful to you, make more conscious decisions and make the cognitive changes that can transform daily life and relationships.
Body
Our brain and body are in constant communication and our nervous system impacts how we think, feel and act. I’ll help you develop greater awareness of your nervous system and the impact it’s having and will integrate somatic (body-based) approaches including breathwork, posture and movement to help you move forward. This enables us to work with your nervous system, not against it, opening up new options and tapping into your internal wisdom, creativity and resourcefulness.
Soul
None of us is just a head and a body moving around in the world. We have depth. We have principles that matter to us and values that shape our view of the world. We have relationships and are part of wider networks and systems, such as families, communities and workplaces. I’ll help you to explore how the outcomes you seek relate to the bigger picture of who you are and how you fit into your world. I’ll help you find ways of moving forward that feel authentic to who you are and aligned with the life you want to live.
By combining these elements, I help my clients to make meaningful changes that last. They move forward in ways that feel authentic and life-giving to them, and that support their mental, emotional and relational health, bringing a new sense of empowerment, balance and fulfilment.
